We are so grateful for all of the support that Wa Na Wari has received from each and every one of you. Since we opened, in April 2019, we've raised over $85,000 in grants and contributions from individual donors like you. We're so thrilled to see the house full of families, neighbors, artists, children, elders, and friends. So many of you have stopped by to take in the art and stories and to be together in this space. Wa Na Wari is all of us. And all of us will make it possible for this space to thrive and grow and build. You can support Wa Na Wari on a sustained monthly basis by joining our Rent Club.
Monthly rent payments go directly towards supporting Black homeownership in the Central District. Our generous donor, Joey Dunn, has offered a monthly rent match of $1500. All Rent Club contributions up to $1500 will be matched by Joey!
At or above the $25 per month level ($300 annually with $250 tax-deductible), members receive invitations to six “Black Bubbles” events; an art exhibition preview reception with champagne the day before our exhibits open. At or above the $100 per month level ($1,200 annually with $1000 tax-deductible), members get invited to the annual Art Fair Fish Fry, a special event during the Seattle Art Fair.Contributions are tax-deductible through our fiscal sponsor, Northwest Film Forum. Make sure you select "Make This A Monthly Donation."
If you'd like to contribute by check, please make your check out to Northwest Film Forum with a note specifying that the check is for Wa Na Wari and mail it to: Chris Day, NWFF, 1515 12th Ave Seattle, WA 98122
