World Premiere of “Forgive Us, Our Debts”
“Forgive Us, Our Debt,” allows us to see through the eyes of a 13-year-old, African American young man, who is unaware that he has a form of synesthesia. He associates certain colors and sounds with powerful feelings. Tension rises with him and his angry father as the boy experiences an overwhelmingly emotional assault on his senses when police officers arrive at his front door to physically evict his family from their foreclosed home due to high-interest rates accrued from after receiving a fraudulent bank loan.
