Wa Na Wari
Teaching Garden

This summer we're excited about the Wa Na Wari Teaching Garden, in partnership with Yes Farms, Nurturing Roots, Black Farmers Collective and Seattle Public Library. We'll be sharing short videos on how to start a community garden and insights on food justice and food sovereignty. This is a place where youth can learn to grow food, create art in an immersive green space, honor Black women writers whose work is rooted in nature, and provide a platform for expanding community systems for food security.
