Love Offering is a community meal program that provides free-of-cost African diasporic and Native American-inspired cuisine, prepared by Black/Indigenous chefs, two days a week.

Wa Na Wari provides community meals Tuesdays and Thursdays. 4pm-6pm.

Love Offering promotes economic stability for BIPOC chefs, increases access to nourishing meals, and cultivates community and a sense of belonging around cultural dishes.

Love Offering support comes from City of Seattle Dept of Neighborhoods

Sponsored by City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture

We also invite you over for Cake and Coffee on Wednesdays, 4pm-6pm. This month the baker is Makeba Licorish who is a born and raised Seattleite with a gift for cooking food that everyone loves.  Growing up as the youngest girl, baking together with her mom and oldest sister was always a treat. Since her parents are Trinidadian, Makeba taught herself to cook and had to learn American cuisine. “My kids gave me the drive to learn desserts so we could make memories together." Makeba is a soon to be graduate of pastry school and proud mother of three.

Sadiqua Iman got on Instagram to explain why you should come get some of this food!

We work with local farmers and organizations to source fresh meats, vegetables, and other healthy ingredients that chefs can incorporate into the meals. It is important to us that meals are well-balanced, nutritious, and culturally relevant to the majority BIPOC communities we serve. Vegetarian options are available with every meal.

Examples of meals served recently include: Berbere Spiced Chicken with Coconut Rice and Lentils; Pulled Bison with Wild Rice, Sweet Potato, and Veggie Succotash; Jamaican Chicken and Veggie Patties with Plantains.
